Digital didactics
(in Russian)
Section leader:
Nikolay Khlebnikov,
Director of the Institute of Fundamental Education UrFU
The speed of change, digitalization of society, competitiveness in the educational space, the need to switch to distance learning due to the epidemiological situation - all this determines the importance of discussing didactic issues in modern education.

Digital didactics is one of the sections of pedagogy that investigates the formation of learning outcomes among students in a digital environment.

The purpose of our section is to discuss how teachers and universities should act to achieve student learning outcomes that are relevant in modern society. The following issues are proposed to be discussed during the discussion:
  1. What to teach? How are learning outcomes designed in educational programs?
  2. How to teach? What methods and technologies are used to form learning outcomes?
  3. What new competencies should a university teacher have? What should a university do to develop these competencies among teachers?
Digital educational technologies
(in Russian)
Section leader:
Alexandra Kuzmina
Director of the Online Learning Development Center of UrFU
The rapid development of technology has created the prerequisites for the digital transformation of the University. Digital content, online technologies, virtual simulators and other digital services have become an integral part of the educational process. Can technology completely replace the teacher, or is it just a tool in their hands to improve the effectiveness of learning? How can I achieve high learning outcomes and reduce the time required to master complex material using various platform solutions and services?

The track will address the issues of creating and using digital educational resources and services in the educational process of the University in the context of improving the quality of education. New developments of IT companies in the field of education will be presented, as well as digital services and products created by various universities within the framework of the “Digital University” project.

Big Bang, which took place in the field of education in the conditions of 2020 and changed the principles of educational process organization around the world for a certain period, brought digital technologies into our lives permanently and for a long time.

In this section, we will discuss the technological and ethical aspects of the development of higher education business processes through the prism of the screen, when the role of personal qualities and charisma fade into the background, and the most important role in decision-making is played by the electronic footprint and ratings of digital metrics. We will review and analyze real cases from colleagues from different countries on the current situation and future strategies.

Let's answer the question: how to promote online courses and programs in a highly competitive environment.
Development of the educational potential of the world-class Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center "Advanced production technologies and materials"
(in Russian)
Section leader:
Viola Larionova,
Deputy Vice-Rector for Educational Technologies
According to national goals, by 2030, Russia should be among the top ten countries in the world in terms of research and development. One of the most promising tools for achieving this strategic goal is the world's scientific and educational centers.

Currently, Russia is actively developing research and education centers and developing appropriate programs for the development of centers. The Ural Interregional world-class Scientific and Educational Center (UISEC) "Advanced production technologies and materials" has been established on the territory of the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions. One of the tasks of the Center is advanced training in promising areas of scientific and technological development.

What competencies will be in demand from the industrial partners of the Ural interregional scientific and educational center? What modern tools are most useful for organizing effective cooperation and interaction between all participants of the consortium in the field of educational activities? How can we improve the effectiveness of joint scientific and technological projects of the UISEC?

The scientific section of the conference will be devoted to the discussion of these issues. We invite universities, scientific institutions, manufacturing companies, participants of the Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center, and representatives of expert community, other scientific and educational centers, successfully implementing educational programs, to exchange opinions and their own experiences to improve the quality of education in the framework of UISEC.
New approaches, methods and tools for improving the quality of education in the context of digital transformation
(in Russian)
Section leader:
Viola Larionova,
Deputy Vice-Rector for Educational Technologies
The effectiveness of digital technologies in education is still a controversial issue that attracts the attention of researchers and methodologists in the field of education. On the one hand, it expands educational opportunities for students and reduces inequality in access to quality education. On the other hand, it leads to a decrease in the share of the most valuable component of the traditional educational process – the contact work of teachers and students.

How will the widespread adoption of online technologies affect the quality of education? What are the risks that arise when transferring part of the educational process to a remote format? How does this affect students' motivation and depth of learning? What additional benefits do teachers and students get in an online environment, and how do learning analytics tools and artificial intelligence help improve learning effectiveness?

The scientific section of the conference will be devoted to the discussion of these issues. We invite representatives of the expert community, researchers and young scientists to exchange views and offer new approaches, methods and tools to improve the quality of education in the context of digital transformation.

Soft skills
(in Russian)
Section leader:
Zamoshchansky Ivan
Director of the Center for the Development of Universal Competencies of UrFU
Modern man lives in a stream of numbers - explicit and hidden. Digital space is a special reality with its own eco-environment, which sometimes captures a person more than the world of physical objects. The digital economy closely monitors the inclusion of people in digital reality: those who do not have time to adapt - they lose. Adaptation involves continuous learning throughout life: the development of new knowledge and technologies, the improvement of professional competencies and the development of "Soft" skills. Universal competencies and "Soft" skills take a special place in the digital economy, psychology and logic of life. The very attitude to knowledge is changing: information must be transformed into knowledge, knowledge must be applied to transform reality, modern people must be able to think critically and systematically, create innovations, promote themselves and unite like-minded people around them.

The section is devoted to the key competencies of personnel for the digital economy and ways of their development. What are the requirements for University graduates in connection with the transition to a new technological order? How will the labor market change in 10-20-30 years? Can artificial intelligence replace most of the company's routine processes? What will determine a person's success in the digital world?

Participants will discuss effective ways to develop popular universal competencies and Soft skills among students of all training areas, exchange experience in developing and implementing a nuclear program at the University as a response to the challenges of digitalization, and demonstrate technical solutions for the development of universal competencies.

Practices of inclusive interaction in the digital space
The heads of conference section:
Alena Nevolina, PhD, Head of Academic development department, UrFU
The pandemic has moved all projects online. Fortunately, this happened all over the world at the same time. Now we see how instantly the boundaries are broken and new opportunities appeared. During the eight months of 2020, we have created five large non-standard inclusive projects. They are being implemented in several regions of the Russian Federation together with partners from Israel, the USA, Norway, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Latvia, France, and Ukraine. New challenges have arisen due to format changes:
  • How to conduct inclusive events online?
  • What is the difference between the design of an ordinary scientific-practical conference and an inclusive one?
  • Is it enough to provide sign language interpretation and audio commentary for the accessibility of people with the peculiarities of movement?
  • How to ensure effective inclusive interactions in digital space?
